This hair straightener is better than some other hair straightener because it's got 30 different temperatures that I can select from. The lowest is 80 degrees and highest is 230 degrees. To me, I don't think I would use the highest level because it damages my hair due to high heat, but I guess some other people's hair are thicker and more difficult to straighten so higher temperature could help. I do noticed that this heat up fairly quick and that when I turned it off, it takes a while for it to cool down. Another thing is that, this is equipped with ions and keratin, which can keep my hair shiny and smooth after I straighten and curled the hair. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who needs or wants a new hair straightener.
